However, a notable constraint of V4B was its limitation to a 1:1 aspect ratio, resulting in all images being square.

Just four months later, MidJourney unveiled its new V4C model, which now accommodates a 16:9 aspect ratio.

Isn’t it incredible? This image can now serve as a desktop wallpaper or a printed landscape decoration.

Additional Enhancements in the V4C Model

The V4C model introduces several enhancements:

• Maximum aspect ratios increased to 2:1 or 1:2 (landscape and portrait)
• Support for any aspect ratio from square to 2:1 (rounded to a resolution divisible by 32 pixels)
• Enhanced composition and quality for wide aspect ratio images

These upgrades are available for both --version 4 and --niji1:2 Aspect Ratio. This resolution is particularly useful for bookmark designs and wall art. Here are a few examples:

Comparing Previous and Current Models

Final Thoughts

With the launch of the V4C model, the MidJourney AI art generator has raised the bar in digital art creation, becoming an even more valuable asset for creatives.
